The image above is a poster that was designed with the great lester Beal in mind. With such extraordinary uses of colors and shapes within his designs, Lester adds simplicity to art and manufactures a statement. In order to create such a design myself using Lester's design style I needed a theme, or a repetition. For my colors I went with the classic red, white and blue. Lester is known for using shapes within his art, in which case I am choosing an arrow to draw attention to not only the designers above, but also the name of the museum within the arrow itself. It draws attention to itself while also guiding the attention to the designers. This adds a nice consistent flow throughout the rest of the poster.
